Student Programming Board (SPB)

About Student Programming Board

History

The Student Programming Board (SPB) was formed in the Spring of 2003 with a Casino Night as its first event. Since then, SPB has satisfied hundreds of CI students with many more entertaining events, including Luaus, themed Roller Skating nights, and the annual Picnic Festival.

Purpose 

The purpose of SPB shall be to: (1) plan, promote, and produce a variety of student-centered programs that are educational, cultural, and social in nature; (2) allocate and distribute funds approved by ASI for SPB business; (3) recruit and retain student members; (4) contribute to the personal development of all students by encouraging participation in SPB as well as the campus community; (5) provide an environment in which different worldviews are respected and peoples from various backgrounds and experiences are invited to participate; and (6) develop a diverse and balanced selection of programs throughout the year that reflect the needs and interests of CSUCI students.

Vision

The vision of SPB is to develop a diverse and balanced selection of programs throughout the year that reflect the needs and interests of CSUCI students.
